  DINS Garraf, Insertion Project  
 
On 2000 thanks to the collaboration between Fundació Formació i Treball i Arxiprestal Caritas of Garraf, “DINS Garraf, Insertion Project managed to start giving response to diverse social needs.

Two are our main pillars:

JOB INSERTION of people who have especial difficulties to access a normal job and
COLECTING AND RECYCLING waste in order to improve environmental conditions .

Since then, our project has achieved a considerable social impact offering an adequate solution for many people in social and working risk situation in all the Garraf area thanks to our labour practice workshops.

The process used is as follows:

  
 
 
  Goals and Methodology  
  DINS Garaf develops its purposes through three main tasks:

• TRAINING
Promoting and training people to achieve and keep a regular job.

• RECOVERING
Creating jobs that help to recover or gain working habits acquired through training.

• RECYCLING
Helping to collect waste and improving environmental awareness in waste makers.

Training
Through a training that includes in-class sessions, individual follow up and working practices we intend to help and increase the chances for our students to find and keep a job in a normal working market thanks to a individual working plan and depending in every persons specific needs.
Second hand item collecting services for their proper reuse, recovering or recycling
In agreement with local authorities and private companies, we help to recover cardboard, glass, champagne bottles, conveniences and clothes creating jobs for people who need them.
Warehouse, material and waste managing services
Transport, selection and arranging recovered materials (especially clothes and champagne bottles) for them to be distributed in the most adequate way in order to reduce waste and also to dignify clothes that will be later given away for social purposes.
Social laundry services addressed to people sent from Social Services
To improve life to those people with few chances to do so and also to improve the use of socials resources, we offer a washing , drying and ironing service with the same standards that you can find in the normal working market but at a much cheaper price.
